2000s Goretex Cropped Jacket
Founded in 1967 by Ralph Lauren, the label was originally a sportswear brand inspired by Polo, and the high-class allure that came with it. Originally intended for the 'aristocrats' of New York, the brand would eventually become adopted by inhabitants of the projects, as the pony logo was & still is a symbol of wealth.
The RLX line of Ralph lauren was started in 1998, as a diffusion line of Polo Sport, that offered more technical products for sports like skiing, snowboarding, climbing, and running. Like Polo, RLX became known for their interesting designs, and gained a cult following amongst polo collectors.
This jacket is made from a waterproof goretex material, and features a cropped fit similar to that of the patagonia SST used for wading. The jacket has two side zip pockets, with a large waterproof zip pocket at the chest. Adjustable at the hem, sleeves, and the hood is removeable. Waterproof pit zips also feature.
