SS2000 Parka Jacket

By the early 1980s, Armani began introducing diffusion lines to differentiate his design approaches. In 1981, Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans debuted, marking a pivotal expansion of the brand. Emporio Armani was created to provide a more fashion-forward alternative to the mainline, offering bold, trend-conscious designs while maintaining the brand's hallmark quality and craftsmanship. Through the 1980s and 1990s, Emporio Armani gained immense popularity, establishing itself as a leader in high-end fashion by the turn of the millennium.

The Spring/Summer 2000 collection showcased the brand's innovative take on casual menswear, with a focus on light, breezy designs perfect for warmer weather. Outerwear, such as this standout jacket, became a focal point, with distinctive styling and unique materials. Unlike Armani's traditional suiting-dominated collections, this show emphasized sporty and relaxed pieces, a trend also reflected in the previous AW99 season. This particular jacket is crafted from a blend of 54/46 cotton poly, with a lining of 65/35 acrylic wool. The jacket features a two-way zip, with velcro closures and nylon pull tabs. The jacket also features dual armpit vents for breathability, and a fully adjustable hood and sleeves.
