FW99/00 ASYMMETRIC SHOWER REPELLENT JACKET

Founded in 1994 by Bournemouth designer Hardy Blechman, Maharishi rose to prominence amongst streetwear enthusiasts in the mid 90s/early 2000s. Blechman leapt into the limelight with his refreshing take on design - winning him streetwear designer of the year in 2000.

Maharishi focuses on taking a pacifist approach to military-inspired technical design; adapting uniforms typically worn by military personnel and twisting it with baggy cuts & complex materials. The brand is well known for its research & development of materials & camouflage.

This jacket features an asymmetrical hem inspired by old military jackets that were created for easier access to a gun holster worn by the wearer, as well as branded Maharishi (RIRI) zips, reinforced elbows, and a showerproof nylon material that almost feels like a waxed cotton.

In great condition with some small signs of wear to the inner lining (not visible when worn).
